We can also provide additional summer or winter and rough sleeping items too. We aim to assist where we can. \n\nfor rough sleepers and people in emergency accommodation).\nFoodbank referrals\nFuel Voucher support when funding is available*\n\nIf someone comes with an issue we cannot resolve directly\, we connect them with the right service to ensure they get the support they need.

DESCRIPTION:At Newbury Soup Kitchen\, we are here to support people in need with freshly prepared hot meals and a safe\, welcoming space. Every Saturday late afternoon\, we serve a fresh soup and a hot\, freshly cooked meal for people experiencing homelessness\, vulnerably housed and those in need within Newbury and West Berkshire. All year round regardless of the weather. \nBut we offer more than just food. Our sessions are designed to care for the whole person—physically\, emotionally\, and socially. \nHere’s What You Can Expect:\n\nA Hot Meal and More: Enjoy a warm\, freshly cooked meal in a relaxed environment. Inside\, there’s space to sit\, chat\, play a game of chess or cards\, or read the papers.\nOutreach and Support: If you need help with housing\, debt\, health\, or other issues\, we can guide you to local authorities and services that can assist.\nShowers and Laundry: Access shower and laundry tokens through our partnership with the local Leisure Centre.\nSpecialist Services: On Thursdays\, the Samaritans are available for confidential chats\, alongside support for drug and alcohol concerns\, fuel debt advice\, and health consultations with our Community Nurse.\nEmergency Essentials: We provide toiletries\, Foodbank referrals\, warm clothing\, tents\, sleeping bags\, and emergency food packs when needed.\n\nOur Mission:\nWe strive to create a space where everyone is treated with respect and kindness—a safe environment where you can feel valued and supported.
