We welcomed 43 clients in tonight so with our volunteers it was a busy night. Bizarrely, we ran out of chairs this evening for people to sit on. Food Collection Volunteer Needed Most of our volunteers come after work so picking up food has to be worked out very carefully to ensure we have the[...]
The bike brought a smile to his face and also others within his homeless community friends. Others were genuinely pleased for him too. We gave him a lock and he will pop to Halfords for some lights tomorrow.
We are overwhelmed with the generosity of the public and community as a whole this year. It's only the beginning of November and we are bursting at the seams with donations. We have created a Christmas Wish List of items that are needed. It would be uncharitable of us to continue to accept donations that may go to waste in the future.
We have placed these bowls on our Amazon wish list and ask if anyone would like to donate these bowls, it would make the serving of hot potatoes a little less messy.
The Soup Kitchen treats us like humans, real people, people with a voice. That's why we come back each week. The food is good too!
Thank you to Andy and the rest of the members of the Newbury Mountain Club for the generosity they have shown for the users of the Soup Kitchen. They have given us so much high quality stuff such as sleeping bags, two big bags full of thermal clothes, socks, jackets for both men and women, flasks and many useful things.

It was a great pleasure to meet such a responsible young man who sees the need to help the people that is less fortunate. Please like and visit his Facebook page Togs and Tents and keep supporting him in the wonderful work he is doing. Thank you Cohen from all of us and we look forward to seeing you again.
