Ex-Serviceman has lost his job and his home! Whilst we help him find a place to live with his cat, we are looking for a cat lover to temporarily acommodate his 18 year old home bound moggie. He cannot afford the £10.00 a day cattery fees while his partner is in hospital.
Rough sleepers wishing to access the support offered under our severe weather emergency protocol should come along to our Market Street offices between 10.00am and 2.00pm to see how we can help.

We are delighted to receive this grant money and have given a great deal of thought to the initiatives that it will fund. They will all make the most positive impact and provide the most practical benefits to rough sleepers. Homelessness and rough sleeping in a priority for the council.
She feels the Soup Kitchen is a place she feels safe and non judged. She also commented how much she like Matilda our retired GP. Gaining trust is just as important for our clients.
We have been informed that there is a bad batch of heroin in Newbury, causing psychotic episodes. I did sit down with all the users I know and talked to them. They said shockingly that it didn't really bother them so long as they could get their fix.
There are issues at the campsite because a tent had been set alight. There was a lot of accusations and gossip going on as the street homeless community feel very vulnerable all the time. Things settled down and the session became one of laughter, card games, chess and a good meal in the end.
