Again a full-on evening, however only 48!!! It is amazing how our numbers now are consistently in the 40's. Admittedly many clients are not street homeless however their need is just as great. Many people just come in for the social life and company.
It is considered that feeling dirty and unclean is one of the main contributing factors that affects mental health in Street Homeless individuals. Keeping respect and dignity is important to us all, including our rough sleeper community.
One of our drug users was very excited and wanted to tell me and made a point of coming to find me during the session. I would never have thought I would be sitting drinking tea with a known alleged drug dealer/user and discussing the whys and wherefores of drug taking!
Expanding our services with the new guidelines
